Congratulations to our Tambourine Bay Winds representatives (Christina, Maria, Lachlan, Dave, Yuki, Greta, Toni, Kaori!) in the ensemble contest last Saturday (17th May)
We were awarded 2nd and 3rd places in a very close contest behind a brass quintet from St George Brass Band.
Both of our 2 quartets played at a very high standard against some tough competition with a stand out aspect being the precise tuning and intonation across both quartets, and something that was highly spoken of by the adjudicator Mr. Anthony Timmins.
Well done to all who participated – a lot of hard work went into preparing for this contest, which was a first ensemble competition for most and first competition ever for some.
